While it may
sound unusual or downright odd, you can trace the history of coffee
from a goatherder all the way up to the modern day coffee machine.
Coffee was originally discovered in the ninth century and quickly
became one of the most known and well loved drinks. So, when I finally
decided to purchase a Krups XP4050, I knew I would be satisfied with my
purchase.
For those who do not know the history surrounding coffee, it was
actually first discovered by goatherders in Ethiopa. Thanks to their
discovery, millions across the globe can enjoy a cup of coffee every
morning, and we have designed newer coffee machines that can create a
truly splendid brew of coffee. Unfortunately, those goatherders were
not lucky enough to have access to this kind of technology.
Originally, coffee was used for its medicinal effects until the
substance was then consequently banned due to being reported as bad for
people's sensibilities, coffee has since been restored as the drink of
choice and only made better by the Krups XP4050. As time is often a
precious commodity, and most of us don't have a lot to spare, the Krups
XP4050 can create a wonderful cup of coffee in mere moments.
What makes the Krups XP4050 better than other models? It has nothing to
do with those goatherders of Ethopia, or any other such immaterial
matter. Ultimately, with the Krups XP4050, I can get a cup of coffee
equivalent to a coffee shop without the coffee shop price. Is that

Another option for this machine is the use of three different filters
for up to two cups of coffee. The water tank is made of a clear
substance, so there will be no confusion when it needs to be refilled.
The warming plate is a nice little addition that can keep your coffee
hot, even if you choose to make multiple cups and not consume them at
one go.
However, the learning curve for this model is a little difficult and
may take some time, especially as I was a little cautious of the hot
water maker and milk frother tool. While you may not have noticed in a
coffee shop, the units do make loud noises and can be very startling if
not prepared for them. However, you will grow used to it over time.
The Krups XP4050 is one of a couple models I have tried. Some I
returned as they simply did not make the coffee hot enough for my
tastes. After working with the Krups XP4050 and other models, in my opinion,
this model unit is within the top three of its specific
machine class. Ultimately, it is an affordable unit that you simply
cannot go wrong with in your kitchen.
