Krups Espresso Machine problem?
Krups Espresso Machine problem
Here is a question I found while searching the Internet for Krups espresso machines information. Although I do not own this particular model I thought I would share in case any of you guys are having similar problems. After you get through reading this you may want to come back up and Click here for my favorite espresso machine.
Hi, i seem to have screwed up something with my XP400 Krups Espresso Machine.
I think I overheated it somehow – wanted to heat some milk for a cup of cappuccino but I didn’t go by the book – turned it once to the left to prepare for steaming, waited for the lid to go off but instead of turning it further to the left to start pumping the steam I turned it back to 0
(wanted to prepare coffee first).
What started right after that, spooked me pretty much – it started steaming really much all over, so I finally decided to give it a shot with pumping the steam. It went alright, I prepared the milk but when I wanted to start with the coffee… it was barely pouring and it was mostly water, transparent brown liquid. By the way, the water in the tank was almost completely consumed and that after not even a full cup of coffee. The tray was completely full as well.
I guess I overheated it too much – the machine was really hot. So I gave it some time like an hour or even more, it cooled down and I gave it another try. Coffee poured somehow better but not that well how it did before when I started all that mess.
One more thing, when I turn it on from the button and wait for the lid to go off I turn it to start pouring coffee and the lid goes back on, which didn’t happen before (not absolutely sure though).
I waited more and decided to run it with water to see how the machine behaves, it poured same as the second time, more or less okay but still giving splashes and not that consistent and straight if I can say it this way. And also this time the tray was full of water.
I guess this question is more for experts in domain or for a similar or exactly same model owner.
Anyways, I’d appreciate any answer, thx in advance
